My Most Effective Study Method by Arika - January 2014 Scholarship Essay
My most effective study method has been writing summaries of what I have read in my textbooks. I spend time reading the assigned subjects, and as I read I write down in a notebook those things that I feel will be important for me to know and remember. After I am finished reading and writing my summaries down, I use an application on my cell phone called Study Blue, it allows me to make flashcards so that I can be studying whenever I have free time since I always have my cellular device on my person.
I also attend any open labs or study groups that are available to go to and get extra help and extra studying time in. My teacher also gives his class exam reviews to do the night before the exam so that we will be able to go through the questions and answer them to the best of our knowledge and use our books to go through the questions we do not know the answers to.
As it comes closer to the exam day I read the assigned subjects again and review my summaries that I have written. I review things that I feel I need the most help on. The night before the exam and the day of I study with my flashcards that I have created through Study Blue.
