The future is why I wish to attend college for without it, it would be glim. Our world is densely populated which tells me even the lowest of wage-earning jobs are sure to be taken. A high school diploma, not to be underestimated but it is pretty much a given. It is our right to a free, public education so every child should acquire their high school education. However, in order to increase my individual chances of being competitive in my career and securing myself for the future, attending college and performing well will be key.
Everything I do today affects what I will or will not be able to do tomorrow. Mistakes though not planned, they too play a role in one’s future; and everyone makes them. Some, unfortunately, may keep you from attaining the goals you strive to achieve but most can be overcome.
College preparation essentially begins at birth. As we develop we are prepared for preschool which then prepared us for elementary school, elementary school prepared us for middle school, middle school prepared us for high school. Each a stepping stone towards a higher education and a greater future.
My future is incumbent upon every thought I have, every choice I face and every decision I make. And as for now, I choose to attend college as I know it is going to catapult me into that wonderful future I have been working all of my life to make greater.
