People and Education by Anne - November 2015 Scholarship Essay

Education has already been a big part of my life. Going to school has truly shaped me to be the human being I am today. From learning how to add numbers together in math class to learning how people think in AP Psychology, I am surely grateful for my education. Being in school for almost thirteen years, has really taught me about myself. But the most important aspect of attending school in general, is having the opportunity to socialize with people from all different walks of life.
If it wasn’t for the people we encounter, there would be no such thing as education. I mean think about it. It takes people to learn and people to teach. If there was no teacher, there would be no classroom and if there weren’t any students, there would be no school. That goes to show that, it is the people who define education.
Getting to know individuals, becoming close friends and growing up into remarkable people is a pretty amazing experience. Your journey through life is filled with obstacles whether it is failing a class or being bullied these friendships help guide you through it. I have really learned more from people than from myself.
Mankind will continue learn things in generations to come. However what we learn now is more important because that is how we will get closer to the future.
