My mother fits the description of leadership in a nutshell since she possesses all of these qualities.
There has never been a rainier afternoon when my mom picked me up from school in the middle of a flood. She has always been my source of courage and fortitude. My mother would stop at nothing to make sure I was safe while the rain continued to pour, turning the streets into raging rivers. She slung me onto her back, protecting me from the weather while we made our way through the dangerous flooding, the water reaching her chest. My mother stayed steadfast in her resolve to keep me near and defend me on her own, even in the face of offers of help from onlookers. It was a striking demonstration of her constant commitment to my welfare and her leadership in the face of difficulty.
My mother, who raised my brother and me as a single parent, exemplifies leadership in both her deeds and decisions.
