I'm in high school, I'm a junior all my teachers always talk about colleges. They always say never procrastinate, don't eat a lot, and pay attention. But one thing they never mention is whether they studied abroad or not. This is why I believe that studying abroad is a nescessary for all students.
Studying abroad is a major debate for a student to have. They will want to explore and try new things, on the other hand they want to stay close to home. A student will run these things in their head for a while until they have a feeling of stress. Then They give in and don't end up going afterwards.
I didn't even know what studying abroad was until my history teacher said how she regretted it. She advises us that no matter how much of stress you have at home, or in school go to study abroad. She said how she had the same issues as many college students. The worry of being to far away, or being alone and lost in a new place. She said that she doesn't care about that now she just is full of regret.
If every student goes to study abroad they won't end up with a Lifetime of regret. They might even enjoy traveling, and change their career choice. It's very crucial to experience things in life, to see what you will like and won't. If they don't like it and their career choice is has something to do with traveling, they can change it. Rather than be in the career of their choice with regret for not knowing how traveling was.
