Now commonly used by many countries worldwide English Language is yet still not spoken or written properly by many persons. That being said, English Language would be the subject I would teach if I were a college professor.Through reading,which I learnt to do at a very early age I discovered that the English Language is an awesome subject.My experience of allowing my mind to float through stories and has taken me places I could only dream of going.Teachers taught proper enunciation of words and the correct grammatical way to write.English Language is the most popular language in the world and is the language most seem to be translating other languages to.

I learnt through repeated correction by my mom, that there is a right way and a wrong way to speak. One had to be very prepared to do corrections if you asked my mom to read anything you wrote or typed. My very first teacher was my mom. The basics of my education began in my home. I went to school knowing how to spell my name, and basic things like my colors, alphabet,numbers one through ten, shapes and one, two and three letter words. My siblings and I were read to from infancy.

Learning to read early allowed my siblings and I to actually find a few errors in books that were missed by publishers. Amazing Yes! I truly believe that English Language opens the doorway for one to better learn in any other subject more easily. Hence, I made it my business to grasp as much as I could when my teachers were busy educating me in this area of my scholastic experience.

I am of the opinion that English is so vital to the day to day operation of society, that many are trying to now learn how to translate foreign languages to English in some cases to get jobs and for other reasons like getting higher paid jobs.In schools we now have some children trying to teach their friend English as some children reside in homes where no parents speak any English at all. These are the homes where children find it more difficult to get better grades in this subject. Sad, state exams show the struggle when these same children have to take exams and have no idea of what to do because they are further behind English speaking children.

If I were a college professor, English Language would be the subject I teach. The reason listed in my essay clearly show that I would exhibit the love needed to impart with love a subject that would help broaden the horizon of students that did not begin on level ground.My goal would be to ensure that when they left my room, there would be a phenomenal difference in their grammar, writing, reading and comprehension on English Language.
