While leaving home and even the country may seem very appealing;requiring that all students studying abroad should not be mandated. Yes it is plausible that other countries have better educational program, but not every person would want to leave home. Students should not be required because there are students who wish to stay home near to families and friends. Shifting from always under parental watch at a familiar place then suddenly being forced to move a great distance, to an unfamiliar land, to be away from anyone you knew; this is a reason why students should not have to study abroad.
While home is one reason, a less deterred reason would be our schools. If all students were required to study abroad; the schools at home would be hurt. There would be less students per school which would lead to less money flowing into those facilities. The more that our students stay at home, the better it is for local and domestic schools.
There also is a very small chance that the students required to study abroad could have a fear of both planes or boats in order to reach their desired location abroad. While it is very unlikely, those must also be taken into consideration.
