What has been your biggest achievement during your education and how will it support your future goals? by Andrea - August 2023 Scholarship Essay

I don't think I can clearly say what is my biggest achievement during my education because I have done multiple things that have contributed that will help me in the future in one way or another. Like for example throughout my first year of middle school, I was a part of this class and organization which raised money for communities and people in need. We raised money for an all-boys school that was caught in a hurricane and then also raised money for cancer patients. We did this by letting students dress without uniforms for Fridays if they paid five dollars each. This helped me have experience in event planning, brainstorming ideas for a fundraiser, and working in large groups. I know many students don't do well with working with others. However, the years of working with many different students have helped me be able to handle group work efficiently.

I also am proud to say that I love writing and have written many short stories in my free time. I mention this because my writing, research, and reading skills have since then increased greatly. Another thing to add is because of my love of reading and writing I was able to get into English honors and have a greater understanding when it comes to reading and writing. The last thing I would like to mention is the time I was chosen as a contestant in a photography contest by my photography teacher. I did not win, but this served as a great way to get experience in the photography business. Some of my future goals of mine include doing photography and creative writing on the side while studying business. I believe these things that I have achieved will help me greatly in the future.
