My Future in 10 Years: Nurse Anesthetist by Anastasiia - March 2025 Scholarship Essay

In 10 years, I envision myself working as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). This means I will be responsible for providing pain relief to patients during surgical operations and other medical procedures. I will work in a hospital setting, collaborating closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Currently, I am studying to become a nurse. This is just the beginning of my journey, but I already understand the profound importance of this profession. My coursework includes studying anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology, which will provide me with the necessary knowledge to understand how the human body functions and how medications affect it. After earning my bachelor's degree, I plan to continue my education in a master's program to specialize in anesthesiology.
Education is the key to my dream. It will equip me not only with theoretical knowledge but also with the practical skills necessary to provide qualified care to patients. I will learn to assess patients, select appropriate medication dosages, and handle emergency situations. Through education, I will be able to contribute to people's health and experience satisfaction from my work.
My aspiration to become a CRNA extends beyond a mere desire to work in medicine. I deeply believe that every individual deserves to undergo medical procedures with minimal discomfort and fear. Anesthetists play a crucial role in ensuring this, and I want to be part of this vital work.
I understand that the path to becoming a CRNA will be challenging and will require many years of hard work and dedication. However, I am ready for this challenge. I am motivated by a desire to learn and grow, as well as a passion for helping others. I am confident that with the right education and experience, I will be able to achieve my goal and become a successful CRNA.
