My Future College Experience by Anabelly - November 2016 Scholarship Essay

Since youth I have been very interested in school and how it will benefit me in the future. Since I can remember everything I wanted was given to me. I was always depended upon my family members. In return I had to have good grades. Of course I wanted to make my family proud but at the same time I wanted to do things for myself. I wanted a real world experience. Being in my last year of high school means a lot of responsibilities and important decisions to make, especially about college.
I believe that going to college will not only expand my knowledge and help me reach my goal but set my independence. Being in college means that I have to everything by myself without any assistance. I have to be responsible and independent of what I want and have to do. I will finally have the higher say of what to do with my life and having the responsibilities of an adult. Being a young adult in college will be difficult at first but I think it will help me evolve into a better person. Hopefully I will find a certain group of people with the same interest as me to give me guidance when I feel lost.
Another thing I will most likely be looking forward to in my college experience is the support and group of people that I meet. From what I heard from my former high school alumni is that the people they meet and the support they receive has been one of the best things that they encountered in college. I want to be able to experience that as well. Just the fact of meeting new people with different lifestyles will be amazing since you can also learn from them. I hope to find a group that will give me that support that I received during high school.
There is so many things to be grateful for when entering college. I hope I can fulfill the goals I’ve set for myself since youth and the recent goals I set when entering college.
