The purpose of an education is so we can better ourselves and the world all around us. It will help us to see the world through a new type of perspective. With learning history, you will be able to appreciate the past better. For an example, if you learn about the history of the Industrial Revolution, you will be able to appreciate everything that had came out of the Industrial Revolution. With learning of the past, you also do not have to worry about making the same mistakes that were made in the past. An example of this is when Hitler tried to invade the Soviet Union during World War II. He made the same fatal mistake that Napoleon did when he was trying to conquer Europe: he was not properly prepared for the Russian winters. If Hitler learned from Napoleon’s mistake, he might have been able to conquer the Soviet Union.

Another reason why education is important is so you can communicate with the world. If you learn a foreign language or master the skills of English through writing and speaking skills, you might be able to help people either understand you or understand the culture of the new location you are in. For an example, if you learn Spanish and travel to Spain, you will be able to understand the culture of Spain better with understanding the language. Or another example is you know the language and being able to communicate. For an example, if you travel to Honduras and know the language, you will be able to talk amongst the locals there and be able to help them even more than you would if you only had a translator with you.

Another good reason to stay education so you can just be able to learn and remember as much as you can. I enjoy learning personally so education gives me a joy to have more of it. It is one of the many reasons why I think going into actuary, as my future career choice is the best option for me. Because there I will continue to learn new things because of all the actuary tests I will end up taking. Education never stops after the bell. You can pick up a book and learn about a piece of history you found interesting. You could pick up a nonfiction book about a topic you’ve already been interested in. You could also pick up a historical fiction book about a time period or a place that you have always wanted to learn more about. No matter what though, you will still learn more about the topic.

Getting an education can help you see the world through a new way, an exciting way. You never have to be afraid of running out of things to learn because the world is always expanding. You just have to know where to look to find out how you wish to learn. You can look from books in a local library to going onto your Internet and start searching a topic you want to learn more about. You can even download an application to even learn a new language if you want to. Either way, education has a purpose in everyday life, no matter what you want to do.
