Many people’s lives would benefit from having appropriate leadership skills. When someone chooses to study in college the advantages of having leadership skills are innumerable. In college classes having distinctive qualities of leadership can be the difference between passing or failing. Making the commitment to study for courses, develop study plans, and even scheduling study groups takes leadership skills. Without someone having leadership skills all of these studying methods would prove unsuccessful. It takes a leader to organize, schedule, and carry out study sessions with other students. Studying with others in the form of a study group or tutor can strengthen the comprehension of the material.

When thinking of what skills would be considered leadership skills it is easy to see that college success would come from all of them. Some examples of leadership qualities would be commitment, honesty, teamwork, responsibility, and motivation. Someone with all of these qualities, and many more that would be considered leadership qualities, would have a better chance of succeeding in college than someone without these traits.

Therefore, stating that someone would be unsuccessful in college due to lacking leadership qualities would be erroneous. Rather, stating that leadership qualities supplement college success would be more accurate.
