If the roles were reversed, which academic subject would you teach and why? by Alyssia - October 2016 Scholarship Essay

What academic subject will you teach?
The academic subject I will like to teach is math. I say this because I’m a nerd when it comes to math. I really don't understand why other people like math the way I like it. If I had a chance to teach math to my class at school, I will do it. Plus you can use different objects or scenarios with math to when you teach math.
Some people say math is a really hard subject to do. When people say that I think they don’t really care about that subject or they don’t listen when the teacher is teaching them something. Something’s that are taught can be hard to learn but I can get in that day. I enjoy the challenge of solving a math problem that made be difficult to others.
The other subject I will like to teach is reading. I’m saying this because I will love to read to preschoolers or 1st graders, probably kindergartens. When you read to pre-k kids they get so happy over books because it’s the way the teacher reads to them. To older kids like middle school and high school, they hate when the teacher makes them read. I known sometimes when teachers ask to read about 4 chapters a night and it’s a big book, I hate that sometimes. The only reason we are reading in school today, because we have to be better readers. When you get to college, you are going to be reading and studying all day probably.
