Leadership is an extremely essential skill for a student to possess when striving to achieve a successful college experience. There are many ways being a leader can aid the student in their college experience. However, there are three ways I find to be most important. Firstly, leadership is important and necessary for college success because it provides the student with the motivation to maintain their grades and perform well academically. Secondly, possessing leadership skills can inspire the student to promote positive change throughout their college campus and student body. Lastly, leadership skills prepare the student to pass along their skills to others once they complete their college career and enter their professional career.

Being a leader whilst in college can supply the pupil with the motivation to uphold their grades and strive to be the best they can be academically. Since the student possesses this skill, they will be more driven to take their studies seriously and put time and effort into the classes they are enrolled in. A student who displays the qualities found in a leader will have the desire to continue to learn more about their major of choice as well as the world around them.

A student who displays leadership qualities will also be able to encourage positive change on their campus, throughout their student body, and in their community. They will most likely be a part of groups and clubs that are motivated to see change take place in their student body and generation. A student leader will be someone who will take action against injustice, help those in need, and better the community for their fellow mankind. As a result of this desire, a student leader will inspire and encourage others to follow in their footsteps and promote that same amount of change.

Leadership qualities not only supply the student with the motivation to maintain their grades and promote positive change, but they also prepare the student to pass along their skills to anyone they come into contact with. They will be able to inspire others to be leaders, whether that be during their college career or their future professional career. A student who possesses this drive and passion will, ultimately, help make the world a better place by inspiring others to be leaders as well.

These three ways are very important examples of how being a leader can aid the student in their college career. When a pupil is a leader, they will be able to motivate themselves to preserve their grades and improve in their schooling, encourage positive change on their campus and in their community, and embolden and inspire others to be leaders and change the world for their generation and generations to come.
