#allforme by Alyssa - April 2018 Scholarship Essay

To me, education means bettering myself as a whole as well as doing it for myself regardless of what others opinions are. Education is all about learning new things, growing as a person and a student, and focusing on what is important in my life. The hashtage I have created that I think best fits what education means to me is #allforme. I chose this hashtag because I am returning to college for myself and earning a degree is all for me.

I feel as a person we can, and should, never stop learning. Things evolve and people must adapt to those changes. Being able to continue education in order to learn more is something that is very important to me. I want to be able to educate myself on as much as I possibly can and continue learning different things for my entire life.

I am returning to college to earn my Master’s degree to pursue opportunities to better myself in the workforce. I would like to grow as an employee by being an excellent student. By continuing my education, not only will I be able to grow as a person, but I will be able to learn various things to better myself in my position and grow within my company.

Education is an extremely important part of my life. I was the second person in my family to earn a Bachelor’s degree and will be the first person to earn a Master’s degree. This is a huge achievement for myself and it is an extremely important part of what makes me, me. It makes me proud of myself for being committed to focusing on what I want and achieving that by being a go-getter. This is why I think #allforme is a perfect fit for what education means to me.
