College is a whole new world and as a high school senior about the step into that world, it is somewhat scary yet exhilarating. It will be something much different than anything I have ever been used to and the adulthood is about to hit. In the end though, I will be thankful for these college experiences. The one I will be the most thankful for is being independent in the fact that I am responsible for everything I do and every decision I choose to make.
With college comes many decision making like choosing exactly what you want to take, when you want to take it, and ultimately if you decide to show up to the class that you are paying for. Every little decision is up to you and I am looking forward to the maturing that happens in that process. The experience of having to realize everything you do will have some kind of effect on you, whether it be good or bad and knowing it is your choice all in the end.
I will be most thankful for this experience because it will help find myself and realize exactly what I should do to help benefit myself during the rest of my life. Where I know how my actions can affect my life so I can learn and grow from some of my mistakes. I want to be the best person I can possibly be where I can be a functioning, successful person in society and college will help prepare me for that.
Independence is a major experience that comes with one taking the leap into the new world of college and the one I will be most thankful for once it is all over. I want the experience of learning, growing, and finding who I am through every choice I end up making.
