My 10 Year Career Plan by Alondra - March 2020 Scholarship Essay

My plan for this decade is to succeed in music. I will be starting college later this year which is pretty scary but I know that when we do things that are out of our comfort zone, those are the things that change our lives. I will be going to college to study music production and hopefully get to work with people who have the same love for music as I do. I plan on going to school for at least another four years and graduating with a bachelors in music. I started learning about music and ways to play around with it at the age of 7 and sense then I've always enjoyed being around music, listening to it, making it, etc. My goal is to be able to do what I love and make a living off of it. During college however I want have started pursuing music professionally already so by the time I graduate I can choose to teach music or continue to pursue it as an artist.

In the next ten years of my life I will have hopefully accomplished most of my goals in life. A lot of things can happen in an entire decade including things that we didn't wish for. But learning from those things and bettering yourself is what learning and maturing is all about. Another goal of mine would be to have been moved out by then and be living on my own independently. I can't say exactly what will happen these 10 years to come but I can do my best and work hard to accomplish my goals. It's crazy to think that this past decade I was just a child and now starting this decade I've become an adult and now getting ready for the next chapter in life.
