Community by Allison - April 2018 Scholarship Essay

Education is important because it improves quality of life, along with allowing someone to do something great. Education is no longer a personal conflict, but rather a community conflict. To have an educated human race means advancement in more areas, such as science, discovery, and possibly space travel or beliefs. To have an educated child presents them with the chance to explore the possibilities and create history and unbiased opinions. In politics, it would help to have someone who could see past what one is saying and how they are saying it. Rather, they would hear the words they are communicating and decide if it would be good or bad for a community. In science, one could advance the human race. In literature, one could become more cultural by reading classical works instead of relying on technology for everything. The world can never have enough educated human beings. It should be within one's community responsibility to want to be the best version of themselves to help their fellow humans. To be educated is to be curious and in tune with the fact that life is about more than just sleeping, eating, and dying; Rather, life is full of many mysterious caves to explore, the depth of the ocean, the heights of the sky, and the limits of the universe. To be educated is to be more than educated, it is to use one's life to his and the world's advantage.
