Why talk to people? Why care what other people think? Our brains have been wired to need other people. On average people talk at least 7,000 words a day. That's a lot of talk and words and it makes sense if you think about all of the people that you just say hi to or have a small conversation with. If you have some type of job you probably have to talk to people for a living. So this is something we do everyday all day and are constantly communicating with other people.
Communication is the key to everything! And every other soft skill has to deal with communication. To have good Enthusiasm and Attitude you need to have good communication skills so you can always look, speak, and act like you're happy to be there even when you're not. Working on a team means you have to communicate well with your team; being honest and vulnerable with your teammates will create a better bond and you will work better together. These are just some examples of how communication is the best resource for you.
If we are good at communicating with the people around us, we can have a very successful education. Being good at communicating means that we are no longer scared of asking for help from a peer or a teacher; it means that we can share our opinion with others and participate in class, ask questions so that we truly start to take what we learn and apply it into our daily lives and get the most out of our education as possible. Communication is key!
