Where do you see yourself 10 years from now and how will your education have helped get you there? by Aliyah - March 2025 Scholarship Essay

Business and Marketing or Journalism are the two careers I should see myself in 10 years from now. My education has helped build my writing skills, listening skills, communication, leadership and being open-minded is something that high-school has taught me. Being better at creating goals and mindsets for yourself, having better habits is something that I’m growing into as I get older. Having all these skills that I’ve learned since freshman year, I’m not applying that into my senior year and helping myself into building a better future for these possible 2 careers that I would like to pursue. With Business and Marketing you need to have a sharp mind, having the ability to communicate and expand your vocabulary. Those are the things that my school has helped me develop. Journalism you need to be able to gather information, interview and write a story. Having to do all of these things in school has helped me become who I am today, and now that I have these skills, I am able to go into the fields with confidence, and have a sense of what I am getting myself into. My education has helped me in so many ways. If I didn’t go to the school that I was at, I wouldn't see myself in these careers 10 years from now.
