Describe one New Year's resolution that will help you become a better student in 2016 by Alexis - January 2016 Scholarship Essay

One New Year's resolution that will help me become a better student in 2016 is to save most of my money from my part-time job to help pay for college in the fall. As I continue to learn more and more each day, college is very expensive and not easy to pay for. As I wish to be pursuing a degree in early childhood education, I will be paying for more than half of my college on my own.
Saving most, almost all, of my part-time job money will help me out financially in the long run when I am paying back student loans. Learning how to save money now will help me in the future when I need to pay for bills, a house, car, and many more. I have a great grasp at saving money but I would like to save more and get a second job to help out more. Pursuing to get a bachelors in Early Childhood Education has been a dream of mine since elementary school and I am very passionate about what I do and would love to continue this dream.
Following my New Year’s resolution plan would help me for college and also in the “real world”, as my high school teachers say, by helping me financially and learning how to be financially stable later in life.
