Dinner conversation with the president by Alexis - October 2017 Scholarship Essay

Out of all the presidents that has run in the office, I would like to have dinner with the 26th president, Theodore Roosevelt. He looks like he really did have a lot of charisma during his time.
I would like to talk to him about how his experience growing up as a kid, having to learn to become strong, like having to be a hunter, explorer, president, politician, and so on. I would ask him about life advice since I feel like he’s really a down to earth kind of guy that would still talk like it's a regular conversation. However, I would also like to ask what was going on his mind when he got shot during one of his speeches and continued on to finish his speech even with his wound. Most would be afraid of nearly getting killed, yet he continues as if nothing happened. I feel like he wouldn’t even brag about how he did such a cool action in front of many people. It also would be nice to how different the time was in America, compare to how it is today. It would be nice to hear whether America has improved throughout the years in Roosevelt’s perspective, or it has continued to remain the same. The last reason why I would talk to him is to simply know what he regrets the most, while as know what was he most proud of during his time as a president. Since every president before and after him will do something different as president, I would like to hear what Roosevelt would say since he will continued to be recognized whether as a good, or a bad president in the future of America. One possible last thing I would ask him is seeing that we would be having dinner, I’d like to ask him what kind of food does he like since I also enjoy a great dinner.
