2038: A Year of Triumph for the Education System! by Alexander - February 2018 Scholarship Essay
Education is the foundation that builds up and prepares youth for their future careers and lives. It covers a wide range of topics, such a history and math, and numerous teachers from different backgrounds and cultures help to progress it forward. Advances, such as Smart Boards, have arisen on the education platform over the past decade, and many more are to come about in the coming years. Twenty years from now, one can only imagine what education will look like then, but there are some advances that seem destined to be there when the time comes. One such advance is the use of holographic projection as an education tool, and by 2038, this will be a crucial part of the education system.
Holographic projection, or holograms, have already found a place in society. They are the subject of various filmography, and they have been used in music tributes to singers who have passed on years before, such as Michael Jackson and Prince. With the advances in this technology already, it is not hard to envision how sophisticated this technology will be in 20 years. Continued research and experimentation will advance this technology greatly, and it will have many benefits when used in the education system in future years.
Holographic projection has much to offer for education. The technology can be used to bring historical characters to life for students in history class, such as George Washington or Martin Luther King Jr.. Also, holograms can be used to display various environmental and geological scenes so that students can better visualize them; seeing a realistic volcanic eruption can have more impact than just another YouTube video. Books in English class can be brought to life by using this technology to display the books in a visual format. Holographic projection provides many educational benefits, and there are many reasons as to why it will become a crucial part of this system in 2038.
The benefits of holographic projection in the education system transcend both sides of the education relationship. Students will be able to better understand and enjoy what they are learning, and teachers will have an effective and stress-releasing method to use in order to better teach their pupils. It is due to these benefits and stronger connections between teacher and student that prove that holographic projection will become an integral part of education twenty years from now. It will take time, money and effort, but with hard work and perseverance, it can be done. With this and many other advances in technology ready to come about, the future of the education system looks bright and clear.
