#ASPIRATION by Aidan - April 2018 Scholarship Essay

College is about growth. It is about becoming a knowledgeable part of society. College, to me, is about ambition. I have goals and dreams that I want to reach and attending college is the way for me to accomplish them. I find that in my life, I can do anything that I set my mind to. I have that strong motivation and energy to get things done. I have that aspiration, hence the hashtag #ASPIRATION. I chose to create the hashtag #ASPIRATION because for me, college is my aspiration. Continuing my education is my aspiration. Furthering my schooling is my #ASPIRATION. I have my desires high and I am excited to see where they guide me.
Aspiring high helps me to reach for goals that I never thought I would achieve. It gives me a boost for putting myself about there. It has me thinking about the future, what’s next, the things to come and all of life that I need to be preparing for. I love the idea of dreaming big because dreams can come true. I have my aspirations set on becoming a working part of society in the health care field. I am currently working as a dental assistant in a small dental office. I never thought that I would become a dental assistant, but I put myself out there and two years later, here I am! And I have loved every second of it. It has opened me up to the world of helping others and being a person that people trust.
I believe that this scholarship will help me to reach my aspiration of going to college and becoming a student that works hard to achieve my goals. I am an amazing worker and enjoy a tough challenge. I aspire to one day become an Occupational Therapist and share my work with those in need. I chose #ASPIRATION because to me, college is my aspiration.
