She was only 9 when she took off into the world to find whatever job she’d be offered in the streets of Veracruz Mexico to get paid whatever she could make to buy food for her 9 brothers and sisters. Being the oldest out of the bunch she knew she had to persevere if the were to eat on a day to day basis. She was 9 years old and became a woman I call mom today. My up bringing wasn’t the easiest you could say but I had luxuries I couldn’t begin to comprehend until recently. Even now as I type, this opportunity that I’m given is amazing and there for I’m thankful even if it’s just to vent. In case it wasn’t clear my mother is a strong and powerful woman and she raised me to respect and speak when spoken too. I remember when I was 10 having a science fair and telling her that I wouldn’t be attending the event because I didn’t have a board or construction paper or even an idea of what I could do. My mom use to have funny ways to get me to change my attitude and mindset. She was a hard working woman who had to start her job everyday at 5am take a short break take us to school and go back to work only to get off late and have to come pick us up from whatever after school activity we would do. Yet she helped me threw the process of getting the materials I needed and a book full of ideas for science experiments I could do and what drew my attention was one of 4 strips of color dye hanging over a bowl of warm water and watch as the water evaporates into the strip spreading the dye threw out the strip. She’s a powerhouse of emotional mental and physical support and I never took into consideration how amazing of a person she is. My mother always told me to try my best and persevere threw hard work and that alone. My name is Adrian Mora I work from 630am -6pm at Marborg industries. My profession is Sorter, I work 80 hours in 2 weeks and 20 plus overtime hours. Thank you for letting me vent.
