Every year everyone always says “a new year a new me”. But they don’t always stand by their word. This year I decided to say the same and actually stand by my word. In the year 2016 I would like to improve academically. To do so I would have to become more outgoing and less shy. These are very important aspects when it comes to education. The reason I say that is because participation in class and constant verbal education helps the mind grow intellectually. I want to be able to not be afraid to raise my hand and ask a question or comment on what the teacher said. Additionally, when it comes to important presentations that have to be done in front of the classroom, I want to be as outgoing and ear catching as possible. I will do so by reading more books and learning more about how to be more expressive and intellectual as possible. Another way in which I will try to achieve that goal is by practicing by the mirror before every presentation so that when I go in front of the class, I will be ready to give the best presentation possible. I really enjoy going to school which may seem strange, but I find it interesting to learn new things everyday and talk to so many different students who can as well teach me new things. If I can improve this year and keep it up, then in college I wont be as afraid and do better as an outcome These may seem like simple goals but I do believe that if I can succeed in accomplishing my new year’s resolutions than I will definitely be a better student. I am going to stand by my resolution to prove to myself that I can do it and that I can change for the better.
