My Future by Addison - November 2023 Scholarship Essay

I want to go to college to pursue a career in either interior design or construction management. I also want to go to college to explore different cities and maybe even a new state. I have always stayed in my very small home town Pendleton Oregon. That isn't much of a big town except for the one time a year we have our annual Pendleton Round-Up.I also want to attend college for the people I will meet and friends I will make. I have always been a very social person and getting to talk to and meet new people is something I am very excited to do in the future. I want to attend college for my dreams and also in hopes to meet great people that will help me get on the right path to those dreams.

I feel that college is just a stepping stone to a great future I have planned since I was just a little girl. I hope and dream to own my own business if that means I am a construction manager or interior designer, owning my own business is all I want to do. I'm hoping that those short 4 years of college will get me to that point in my life. College is also such a big part of growing up, moving out of the house to go live on a college campus in a new city or even new state,with someone you have never met before is such a big move compared to living with people you have been with sense you were born. Having to learn how to do everything on your own like manage money, bay bills, and buy food.I want to go to college to pursue my dreams and become the best adult I can in whatever career I choose to pursue.
