Throughout the constant search for scholarships there has been a recurring question about my plans for the future. Often I have wrote about my future career goals. I soon realized that the future is uncertain. As of now I want to be a marine biologist. Last week I wanted to be a veterinarian. When I was 9 I wanted to be a dolphin trainer. My opinion on my career is constantly changing. If one thing is certain however, 10 years from now I want to be happy. Growth in education is a major aspect in achieving this goal.
In my opinion being happy means having a choice. It is commonly known that people do not like to be told what to do. They like to pick what they want for themselves. With a good education you have more choices and opportunities. Through this everyone has the chance to be happy. The key to happiness is the pursuit of education. Without the growth of education there would be no way to grow as a person and truly find yourself. Through learning you define what you like and what you hate.
Although plans and goals for the future are very important, people have lost track of what the big picture should really consist of. 10 years from now I see myself with my boyfriend. We are traveling the world together and finding ourselves. I see myself having a steady job that I really love. As I said in the beginning the future is uncertain. What my picture of happiness will be in 10 years I do not know, but what I do know is that if I continue to follow and grow with education it will truly lead to me being happy.
