AVID Should Be A Required Class by Aaliyah - June 2018 Scholarship Essay

AVID is a class that I feel should be a required class. AVID is a class that helps kids through high school and helps them look into colleges for their future.

AVID has taught me about real life situations, organization, scholarships, grants, loans, taxes, and how to find colleges best fit for certain students. AVID has opened my eyes to new and different possibilities that I never thought I had before. It is an eye opener for students, and it makes us more confident about our future. I, personally, took in as much I could from our discussions and our topics and I will be taking these in for when I am searching for my colleges.

AVID is a 4 year high school elective commitment, and it should be required because a lot of the students I interact with that don't have AVID are still in the dark about the topics. This class has cleared up my questions about my future, and I want other students to have this opportunity like I and other AVID students have.

AVID is a class that is a good, encouraging experience, and a good help for students looking to have the best future possible.
