John F Kennedy Assassination over Dinner by 847-644-1369 - February 2016 Scholarship Essay
I stared blatantly at his face searching for all the hints that reminded me of pictures of him back when he was president. He was a great president in my opinion but one thing still haunts me even while I stare him down while he cuts pork chops on his plate, the assassination. John F Kennedy is alive right in front of me and he doesn't even know that he died. He doesn't know that he was killed by someone for some reason. The many reports and problems with his autopsy and records, missing tapes, etc... It was too mysterious to imagine a logical solution since none sounded so. It was the reason I wanted to have dinner with him so badly. "So... You died." I told him coldly. That night was awkward mainly because of the impossible happening. He was alive and I have the opportunity to find out what really happened. Why was he killed? Who killed him? Was it a conspiracy?
After he had explained to me the possible implications to his murder, I knew that there was no way anyone would believe it. The fact that there are so many theories today convinces me that this is just another one to throw onto the pile. I told him that the assassination always seemed so spooky. He agreed. For all the things that happened in his presidency, we knew that there were very many motives to kill him. After I knew the truth, I paid the bill, tipped my hat down below my eyes and shook his hand and thanked him for his time to share this with me. I promptly left while staring into nothing still imagining if what he said was really true. Maybe it would have been better if I hadn’t known. It was kind of fun coming up with theories.
