The CLEP History of the United States 1 exam includes 120 multiple-choice questions. These questions cover a range of topics from the U.S. History between 1790 and 1887, emphasizing the English colonies. Students are expected to be able to identify and describe historical events, analyze and interpret historical situations, and compare and contrast historical events in order to be successful in this exam. If you pass the exam, you’ll likely be able to start your study of history in college with other courses.
