Free ASVAB Questions of the Day

As an individual interested in a career with the US Military or Armed Services, you must place well on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB). This test has multiple sections that are used to assist recruiters in placing you with a specific branch of the military. There are four main critical areas of study – Arithmetic Reasoning, Paragraph Comprehension, World Knowledge, and Mathematics Knowledge – which create your baseline Armed Forces Qualifying Test, or AFQT. This score helps recruiters determine whether or not you qualify to be a member of the armed forces, so it is important to score well on these areas. There are also other sections of the ASVAB that will help recruiters determine which occupational specialties you are most suited for in the armed services. Varsity Tutors’ Learning Tools offers many free, online practice tools to help you prepare for the ASVAB. The Question of the Day, for example, offers a new question each day, based on past ASVAB exam questions.

In order to do well on the ASVAB and get the position you want in the US Armed Forces, you will benefit from daily test review. Cramming for such an important, career-determining test will not help you get the career you want. This is where the Question of the Day is a useful supplement to your study regimen. The Questions of the Day are divided into the subject areas on the ASVAB exam, so you can prepare for the sections you are most concerned about, or get a feel for all the sections in general. You can see questions for mathematics, science, reading, and much more, to help you get the best possible preparation for the ASVAB.

The Question of the Day online tool has several parts that can help you prepare with daily test practice. This is a multiple-choice question, like many of the sections on the ASVAB itself. There is a timer feature, which helps you not only improve your speed when you answer questions, but improve your accuracy as well. When you see which questions you take a long time to answer, you can focus your test review sessions on the subjects that are hardest for you. This way, you become more familiar with the material, and therefore recall it faster.

The ASVAB Questions of the Day also allow you to see improvements in your answers over time, by offering graphs comparing your previous answers to your more recent answers by section. You can also see how well you answer questions compared to other students preparing to take the ASVAB. When you see how you rank nationally, you can better focus your study time on the subjects that might be hardest for you.

The free ASVAB practice offered through the Question of the Day even offers a detailed explanation of the correct answer at the bottom of the page. Whether you answered the question correctly or not, this explanation offers an in-depth look at the answer so that you can gain an even more thorough understanding of the concept.
