I have worked at an amusement park, I have been a hairstylist, a wife, a stay at home mom, a college student, a special education teacher, and a reading specialist . . . in that order! I encourage my students to reach for their dreams, do their best, become independent, and love themselves as they are. I have a special interest in hidden disabilities and I do not see a person as disabled. I believe that a person is not the label; they are so much more than that and should never settle for anything less than they deserve.

My interests include spending time with my family, hot yoga, the science of reading and the Colorado mountain areas.
