I have been a tutor with "Erie House Neighborhood House" for 5 years where I tutor students from the 6th grade to 12th grade.
I have also worked after school, in a CPS school, with students from the 5-8th grade.

About Me

I can help with reading and writing for students of all ages and adults . I can also help prepare and organize for tests and help with study habits in general. I am a native speaker of Spanish and have taken college level education to have fluency and proper grammar. I also have intermediate-level French proficiency. I can help tutor students with beginner's French.

My philosophy of teaching has evolved from many years of tutoring experience. Teaching is the opportunity to share knowledge with students through a personalized experience. My goals while tutoring are to promote positive learning, to spark learner enthusiasm for learning, and to provide a strong foundation for lifelong learning. To accomplish this, I enjoy applying a wide variety of strategies based on educational principles that start with instructional planning and assessment in order to provide a comprehensive and personalized teaching experience.
