I taught French language and culture for over 15 years in both private and public schools: elementary, middle, high school, and Community college. I had many wonderful experiences tutoring English as a second language in varying cultural contexts. I graduated from Smith College with a degree in French and studied at L'Universite de Paris, Sorbonne et Clignancourt through the Smith junior year abroad program. I also hold a Masters degree in Education with a concentration in Curriculum & Instruction. I am a lifelong learner believing that it is critical to impart an ongoing passion for learning to my students. I have had great success in my teaching and tutoring in many subjects because I combine the essential mastery of foundation skills with a creative approach. My other interests include Asian Brushwork painting, guitar, singing, tennis, golf, and walking.
