I am still involved in peer tutoring among my friends and classmates.

I am currently a junior at Skidmore College, studying political science. I have spent the last several months tutoring in my town to help students who are struggling with remote learning. My specialties are math, political science, and writing (I love editing papers!), but I can help in a variety of other subjects. I am a firm believer that education should be a positive experience so that students become lifelong learners. In my free time, I love doing martial arts and drawing!

I am a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). I received my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Bioinformatics. I, also, received my Master of Science in Computer Science. While studying at UAB, I was a Teaching Assistant (TA) for the entire time. I have been a TA for Introductory Chemistry, General Chemistry, Introduction to Computation in Python, Automata and Formal Languages, and Computer Vision. I tend to tutor courses in computer science and basic biology/ genetics courses. Although, I do tend to gravitate towards tutoring for computer science courses in Python and Java. I'm Solange - a recent graduate from Harvard where I studied Sociology & Women's Studies. I've been tutoring for eight years now, and have worked with a wide range of ages and in a wide range of subjects. I am an aspiring applied mathematician, with particular interest in image processing and climate science. I am currently a senior at Harvard College where I study chemistry, and I'll be attending Columbia Medical School next year. I have years of experience tutoring college students in math (mostly calculus) and chemistry including both general and organic chemistry. In addition, I am very familiar with all sections of the SAT and ACT having prepared several high school students for these tests. I am currently attending Johns Hopkins University, pursuing a dual degree in Computer Science and Applied Math and Statistics. I am a recent graduate of Yale University and incoming first year medical student at Columbia University. Originally from the DC area, I have always had a passion for science and medicine and pursued a degree in Biology while at Yale. During the 2008-2009 academic year, I tutored science, math, English, history, and Mandarin Chinese part-time with a DC-based tutoring company. At Yale, I worked as a freshman counselor to provide academic and career advice to incoming freshmen. As a pre-med student who majored in African and African American Studies, I have experience navigating a variety of disciplines.
