I am a senior pre-med student at DePaul University majoring in chemistry with a concentration in biochemistry/medicinal chemistry and minoring in biology. My name is Michael Grantham. After receiving a perfect GRE Quant score, I was accepted to Columbia University's Data Science Institute. I recently graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a 4.0 in mathematical classes, which was my major. I have a real passion for teaching and tutoring math, and in addition to tutoring the entire calculus sequence through Stokes and Greens theorem, Ive also tutored statistics courses, linear algebra, and abstract algebra. I am a Junior in Chemical Engineering at Virginia Commonwealth University. I am a founding member of VCU's chapter of the engineering sorority, Phi Sigma Rho. In my free time I enjoy playing the piano, cuddling with my puppy while watching Riverdale, and playing Sims 4.I love learning and helping others learn as well. I believe that no subject is "too hard" or "too difficult" for STEM and non-STEM inclined students to learn and become proficient at.Beyond my skills in STEM subjects, I also have a lot experience with the college application process, along college level writing, essays, and research papers.

Psychology combines my aptitude in math and science with my love of people.In middle school, I taught violin and piano lessons to beginners. This was my introduction to teaching.I first started tutoring in high school. I realized I loved teaching, but the part I loved most about it is helping people. I continued to tutor in college and eventually became a tutor through Student Support Services. In high school, I have tutored children from the ages of 8-17 in various subjects and helped increase their scores tremendously. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Biology, Literature, and History. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests, we always seem to have the most fun (with remarkable advancements) prepping for the Critical Reading and Writing portions of the exams. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. I am a second year student in the Vanderbilt University School of Engineering. I am double majoring in Math and Computer Science and minoring in Engineering Management. I frequently tutored my friends and peers throughout high school and continue to do so in my college courses. While in high school, I also volunteered for Higher Achievement, an Academic Enrichment program for middle school youth in D.C. During the summer session,I taught the SSAT and reading classes, acted as a teachers' assistant and tutored individual scholars. I am very passionate about STEM and advancements in the tech field. I strongly value education, something my parents instilled in me from a young age, and I hope to spread my love of learning and the doors that a strong education can open to those around me. I love all things sports and fitness and my favorite activities are biking, running and yoga.

Well...this is tough since rather than talk about myself I generally like to discuss what I study. The ancient world, history, political systems both now and then. My chief qualification is an Hon. BA in Classics from the University of Toronto (Trinity College) as well as numerous groups, organizations, and places where I've learned and taught. Yet my chief qualification isn't a piece of paper, or even an experience, but a genuine love of learning and an ability to inspire others with that same enthusiasm. I can tutor any number of things given my wide ranging background, but my chief areas of expertise are in the political, historical and Classical realms as well as in test-taking and writing. In my free time I like eating an excess of chocolate and burning it off through long bike rides.
