Answer choice "Dancing, singing" has words that are all over the place and don’t really have an organization to them.

They came prepared with materials to irritate the opposing side, they were aggressive, and refused to obey orders of authority figures. There were no clues in the sentence that would lead readers to believe that they wanted to prevent a riot or simply watch as bystanders. Investigate would also be more of an observatory role and this group of protesters did not seem interested in simply watching.
