I am currently a sophomore electrical and computer engineering student at the University of Texas at Austin. I helped out as a general subject (math, science, history, etc.) tutor at Health Careers High School in San Antonio while I was a junior and senior as part of National Honor Society. My strong academic subject areas are math, particularly calculus, trigonometry, and algebra; although I do tutor up to all high school levels of math, computer science programming in Java, Python, or C, electrical engineering topics like circuitry or programming, and mechanical physics. I really enjoy helping other people out because my motto is "ancora imparo," or "I am always learning." So if I can always learn something, I wish to help others learn and do better as well. My hobbies include exercise, sports, and playing video games, basically anything that engages the body or mind!

I am a recent graduate from The University of Texas at Austin, where I triple majored in Plan II Honors, Psychology, and Music. I have always valued education and effective testing taking strategies, especially as an incoming medical student. I am very meticulous, patient, and motivating! I have tutored college students in subjects such as writing, math, reading, and music. Ever since I was in high school, I have enjoyed working with children through volunteer activities and over the years have developed the sensitivity and patience required to instruct children as well as connect to them. I am currently a Youth Market Coordinator for the American Heart Association. I am a graduate of University of Delaware, where I studied Anthropology and Theatre Performance. I have tutored extensively in math subjects (including SAT/ACT prep) which I have always enjoyed, being the son of a math professor. I have worked in various capacities as a math tutor/teacher, including at the Prefreshman Engineering Program, a summer camp in San Antonio, TX where I taught and mentored middle and high school students in math, science, and engineering topics. I have also tutored extensively in the San Antonio area (which is my hometown!). I emphasize understanding any material from multiple perspectives, which results in a sophisticated mastery of the content and allows students to feel comfortable with what they are learning, both in tutoring sessions and in the classroom. Whenever I tutor for test prep, my philosophy is to teach the material that the test is supposed to be testing, instead of teaching to the test. In addition to being a tutor, I am an actor, a long-distance runner, and an ultimate frisbee fan.

I know firsthand how much effort it takes to succeed. I earned a 1520 SAT, 33 ACT, and a 4.0 GPA before graduating with a Bachelor's in Finance and a minor in Political Science from BYU. With over two years of tutoring experience, I've helped students of all ages, from elementary kids learning to read, to high schoolers preparing for the SAT/ACT, to college students mastering finance. My approach is simple: I build trust with each student, identify their strengths and weaknesses, and create a plan that builds both skill and confidence. I've tutored in math, reading, finance, physics, and standardized testing, always with the goal of making learning less intimidating and more empowering. I am originally from San Antonio, TX; I completed my undergraduate education at Rice University in Houston where I received a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. Currently, I am in my second year of medical school at Baylor College of Medicine.

I'm a writer and editor with a passion for learning that I love to share -- I've been told my tag line should be "let's find out!" I'm a native Austinite, but I lived in New York while I got my Bachelor's in Comparative Literature and minored in Linguistics. After I graduated I moved back home to Austin and got my Masters in Global Policy Studies at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at UT. Now I'm in Fort Worth, with an MBA I picked up along the way (also from UT Austin) -- apparently I can't stay out of school for long.

I am working toward an MD at Stanford University. I am happy to help with MCAT, SAT, SAT subject, AP test prep, and general academic subjects. Throughout my 8 years of experiencing tutoring middle school and high school students, I aim to help students raise their test scores through targeting points of weakness and developing the tools to conquer those areas. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy running, listening to music, traveling, and reading.

I am currently a Master's student at Cornell University. I graduated with my Bachelor's of Science from Cornell in 2016 and I plan to attend medical school in the fall of 2017. I'm Eisha, a Public Health major at the University of Texas at Austin with an interest in medicine and teaching.

I am continuing my education with a Master's in the same field. For years, I've helped my friends and siblings with homework for school, and they've always told me that I had a talent for teaching; I understand concepts very easily, and explanations come easy as well. The goal that I work towards for my students is to bless them holistically, both through my academic skills and through any relationship that I am able to build with them. I believe in teaching my key patterns of thinking; teach them how to fish instead of giving them a fish, as it is said. I am best at Math and Science, and any of the high-school level subjects pertaining to those fields.

I'm currently attending Rice University- pursuing a double major Bachelor of Arts in Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Economics. As you can probably tell I'm very passionate about math, and I'm even more passionate about teaching it! I prefer to teach math a little differently than some of you may used to. Many of students think of math as a plug and chug approach- simply being given formulas and plugging numbers in. While I will give you the formulas and critical things to remember if you insist on it, I prefer to teach mathematics as a form of problem solving. How math works is a beautiful thought process- understanding how a formula was conceived is much more rewarding than simply memorizing it. But in the end it's all up to you- the student. If you want a fast run-down of everything you need to know to ace the test- I'll happily help you. However, if you're willing to think outside of the box and learn some very neat stuff, I'll open the doors to mathematical problem solving for you!
