I am a Freshman of the Class of 2024 in the University of Texas at Dallas; my major is Computer Science. Back when I was in high school in Vietnam, which is a long time ago (at least 5 years), I stood out amongst my friends with the ability to perform really well in science subjects like Math, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. I always love learning new things and have a passion for academic stuff. One of my proudest achievements back then was earning the highest score amongst high school seniors in my state in the annual national final exam of 2015, an equivalent to the SAT. Afterwards, I spent nearly 4 years in college as a medical student but had to quit my studying to immigrate to the US. Though I am a little bit old to start college again, I do not really deem this as a disadvantage. In fact, my past experience would be really helpful to guide me through tough times in college. I am so excited and thankful that I have a chance to pursue my passion in one of the best education systems in the world.

I'm a full-time high school math teacher who teaches juniors and seniors. This is my 5th year teaching. I'm looking to tutor after-school and on the weekends. I attended the University of Texas, majored in Mathematics, and graduated in 2011. During my time in Austin, I tutored part-time while going to school.

I am a graduate of New York University and received my Bachelor of Science in Finance. I also completed my premedical coursework at NYU and will be attending medical school in July 2015 as my next step to becoming a pediatrician. I am a prematriculant student at the University of Chicago. In high school I took advanced STEM courses at the University of North Texas through a high school program called the Texas Academy of Math and Science. I love taking high level math courses, but I get even more excited when I can help friends and classmates in courses I have already taken. I am graduate of Brown University, where I received a degree in Economics and studied topics ranging from Computer Science and Applied Math to Literary Arts and Philosophy. I even helped create a class during my senior year, working together with other students to write a syllabus, gather reading materials, schedule guest speakers, and ultimately, present the results to an academic dean for course credit. After graduation, I moved to Hong Kong, where I worked at a a summer program at the University of Hong Kong, in partnership with the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth, as a Teaching Assistant in a Game Theory class for advanced middle school students. After the program ended, I traveled around Asia, visiting places in Malaysia and Vietnam before eventually returning to the American South, where, as a native North Carolinian, I feel at home. I usually prefer tutoring in subjects involving math and social sciences but I am very flexible. Outside of education, I love playing guitar and piano, and I have released music both as a solo artist and as part of a band. I also like to play disc golf and lacrosse and enjoy participating in fantasy football.

I'm currently attending Rice University- pursuing a double major Bachelor of Arts in Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Economics. As you can probably tell I'm very passionate about math, and I'm even more passionate about teaching it! I prefer to teach math a little differently than some of you may used to. Many of students think of math as a plug and chug approach- simply being given formulas and plugging numbers in. While I will give you the formulas and critical things to remember if you insist on it, I prefer to teach mathematics as a form of problem solving. How math works is a beautiful thought process- understanding how a formula was conceived is much more rewarding than simply memorizing it. But in the end it's all up to you- the student. If you want a fast run-down of everything you need to know to ace the test- I'll happily help you. However, if you're willing to think outside of the box and learn some very neat stuff, I'll open the doors to mathematical problem solving for you!

I'm a graduate from the University of Texas at Dallas with double Bachelors Degrees in Computer Science and Cognitive Science. I have explored the intersection of technology, medicine, and public policy throughout my academic career. I'm an industry-trained computer scientist with experience at Microsoft and the National Institute of Health.

Logical Reasoning is half the scored LSAT, so small improvements here move the needle fast. Paul tackles it by drilling the underlying argument structures — sufficient vs. necessary conditions, causal reasoning gaps, overlooked alternatives — until students can spot the flaw in a stimulus within seconds. His own LSAT prep and economics training gave him a systematic way of diagramming arguments that he now walks students through step by step.

I am able to tutor in most math, chemistry, and physics subjects at levels from middle school through college. I can also provide tutoring in some SAT and SAT 2 subject tests. My favorite subject to tutor is math. I have loved math for as long as I can remember. To me, solving a math problem is like solving any other problem in life - you combine the information you are given, assumptions you can make, and your expertise and prior knowledge to derive a conclusion.
