I am a graduate of Arizona State University where I earned my Masters in Emergency Management/Homeland Security and my Bachelors in Psychology. I love working with students and watching their passion grow for learning as they start to understand new concepts. I have experience in building individual lesson plans, as well as experience teaching in a classroom. I am excited to get to know you and help you on the road to academic success!

I am a recent graduate of Memphis College of Art with a degree in Illustration and Comics. I want to share the knowledge I've learned and further my own artistic goals.

I am a lifelong learner and love helping others enjoy learning. Languages are my passion and I help students succeed by putting lessons in a real-world context. Whenever possible, I use film clips, journal articles, songs and literature, so that my students begin to think in the new language and not simply memorize words in a textbook! I graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a Bachelors in International Studies and a minor in French, and I have spent time living in both France and French-speaking Swtizerland. I have over five years of teaching and tutoring experience and have worked with students of all ages, from elementary to adult. I also have extensive experience teaching English to speakers of other languages and enjoy making my own language accessible to those wanting to learn it. I am a patient and enthusiastic instructor and I look forward to sharing my love of French and English.

I'm originally from Chile and Spanish was my first language. I moved to the US when I was four years old, but never lost sight of my Spanish. Fortunately, I spoke Spanish every day of my life at home and that continued throughout college when I studied abroad in Salamanca, Spain for a semester. Today, I work as a bilingual writer for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. I enjoy my sharing my native language with others and encouraging a deeper understanding of Latin American culture. I tutored students throughout college and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I look forward to hearing from you!

I am a big sports fan so I spend a large portion of my free time playing or watching either basketball, golf or baseball.

I'm a high school chemistry and biology teacher with a love of languages. I consider myself a lifelong learner and am excited to share and discover new subjects and ideas. I'd love to help you in your learning journey as well! I started tutoring as a college freshman after taking an advanced chemistry course and realizing how much I enjoyed working with my classmates to help them study and solve difficult problems. My college hired me to tutor French, biology, and chemistry students throughout the next three and a half years. I also started meeting with several gifted high school students who needed guidance in preparing the best college applications possible. Having successfully passed seven AP tests as a student, I was able to help them prepare for the most challenging content in the classes and on the AP tests. I was also able to share ACT test strategies and content knowledge from my own experience that helped me achieve a 35 cumulative score and qualify as a national merit scholar on the PSAT. During college, I also had the opportunity to volunteer my time with high school students who were internationally adopted or in foster care while awaiting immigration proceedings. Working with students who were learning math, science, and other subjects in their second language became a passion that drove me to switch career paths and become a teacher in a public school. I speak conversational French and Spanish which has given me such an appreciation for the patience and grace of native speakers willing to help me. This has framed my entire approach to education as science often feels like a foreign language to students who are not yet fluent. With patience, exposure, and practice, I believe every student can be successful at even the most challenging science concepts. Now I teach high school chemistry and AP chemistry, but I'm also certified in and have taught high school biology and physical science. My favorite part of teaching chemistry is the moment of satisfaction students experience when they have struggled and overcome a difficult task. My students may have different journeys to success, but I love celebrating every victory.
