Hi! My name is Jenna and I just received my masters in education from Clarkson University, specializing in 7-12 English. Currently, I am in Mexico City nannying for a family and working on my Spanish as well (I intend to become certified in teaching Spanish when I come home).Thus, I am qualified to teach English (reading, writing, grammar, etc.) and Spanish (reading, writing, grammar, etc). To able to tutor is a gift to me, as this profession couples two of my favorite passionsworking with students and exploring the humanities. I have about a year and a half of teaching experience. I did a two full semesters of student teaching (adding up to one year) and I have worked for a year at an elementary school being a permanent substitute. Thus, I have experience working with students ranging from kindergarten to 11th grade. My teaching philosophy is that everyone is worthy of receiving an education. Tutoring is such a great way to ensure that this becomes a reality for our kids. Every student deserves respect, patience, excitement, and faith, and I showcase these qualities in every single interaction I have with my students. Let the learning commence! :)

I believe the most important lesson we take away from the classroom is that learning is a lifelong endeavour, and every single day can teach us something. That being said, I love to learn, primarily through the means of reading. Other passions of mine include speaking Spanish and living in Spanish-speaking countries, painting, doing yoga, and cooking.
