I taught 2nd and 3rd grade for 4 years and I loved getting to witness students going from learning to read to reading to learn. Writing was a skill that did not come easily to me, but eventually became one of my greatest strengths, which is why I want to teach the skills of writing to others. Math was my favorite subject as a kid and I get really excited about it. Being able to share that excitement with students and have them grow to enjoy doing math is such a wonderful feeling. I am passionate about helping students create a positive mindset as they learn and master new skills. I choose to make learning as fun as possible and feel so proud when I see a student's face light up, because they finally understand something. That is what makes my heart happy and why I got into teaching in the first place. When I am not tutoring or teaching, I like to spend time with my 2 girls. We like to do crafts and art projects together. I also have 2 fur babies that we love to walk and spend time in nature with. I am also a huge adovate for mindfulness, emotional regualtion, and learning social emotional skills.
