I believe that every child should have access to a great education; if they aren't allowed that in school, then that's where tutors step in to fill their gaps with knowledge. I work hard to make sure students understand connections between topics and concepts so that they can move on to the next level within that concept. I love watching the moment the student "gets it" and feels confident within themselves when they finally realize they can do it on their own. What sets me apart from other tutors is that they tutor for a paycheck, however, my paycheck is seeing the light bulb go off in a students' head once they understand what I am teaching them. Some of the students that I've tutored have psychological hardships which makes learning a challenge for them; I make sure I work even harder to help connect the dots for them.

I like to read, host events for my sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha, dance, watch television, go to the gym and eat. I really like to eat. A lot.
