About Me

I recently graduated from Trinity University with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Science with a concentration in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. Everyone learns in different ways, and as a tutor I like to get to know the students and find a teaching style that works best for them. I was born in Quito, Ecuador and I grew up speaking Spanish. In my free time I enjoy reading (especially novels), spending time outside, and enjoying a good meal with friends and family.

Q&A with Camila

I consider it important to encourage students to think rationally and to gain understanding rather than memorizing. That will help them solve problems in any subject, not only the one they are learning at the moment. I think that a good teacher helps students to get interested in the topic, which can be done by showing how it is applied in everyday life. It is good to have questions and wonder why things happen, and it is important to try to look for those answers.
