Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world, said Nelson Mandela. There isn't a dream in you that you can't achieve, and I'm here to help you connect with the infinite potential that lies within you. Why crawl when you can fly, why struggle when knowledge is within reach? I love to teach because I love to learn. Every time I meet someone better than me at something I do, I study everything about them to improve. In real estate, I always 'taught', never 'sold' my clients. I taught them to make wise choices, I taught my team why our work is important, I taught our support affiliates why our clients come first. As a Certified Negotiations Expert, I teach priorities, that's how we negotiate. Words are our tools in all we do. It's the song of the heart that communicates through words. I teach you to use them wisely, beautifully, and persuasively. I have a Bachelor's degree from UCLA, am a real estate instructor, a real estate and mortgage broker, a writer and public speaker and I offer private intuitive life coaching sessions. It's always the same lesson, only the vehicle changes; the end result is the same, empowerment through knowledge. I help people be and have the best for themselves. I was born and raised in Romania; I speak Romanian, German, Spanish, as we also enjoy a second home in Mexico. English is my primary language. Two years ago I've returned to school and am over half way through my Master's in Consciousness studies and I'm starting the Holmes Institute school of Spiritual Leadership this spring. My favorite subject to teach is my student's own full potential. That can come out in real estate, essay writing, English as a second language (it's how I learned English at the age of 12), in the form of creative writing or academic essay. I believe there are no mistakes, only new opportunities to improve, and no failures, only life's teachers along the way. I believe in the full tapestry of life and in the interconnectedness of all things. Connecting with people, fully secure in what you know, be that in real estate, social science, communication, or technology, will make you a leader of many. I'm grateful to be an academic directional sign in your personal development!

I bring a rare, real-world perspective to tutoring that blends finance, real estate, and first-responder training. My background spans mortgage lending, real estate transactions, compliance, and high-pressure decision-making in public safety. I have spent years breaking down complex topics like loan structures, contracts, regulations, and emergency protocols into clear, practical lessons that actually stick. As a tutor, I focus on how things work in the real world, not just how they appear on an exam. I am currently licensed in all my tutoring disciplines. Whether I am helping students understand the concepts, I teach with clarity, structure, and purpose. My experience working with clients, regulators, and first responders allows me to explain material in a calm, confident way that builds understanding and confidence. If you want a tutor who connects the dots between theory, testing, and real-life application, you will find my approach practical, disciplined, and results-driven.
I have always enjoyed interacting with people who want to learn. There is an innate desire in all of us to learn and it is the most basic and common trait in people. After earning my Bachelor Degree from the University of Texas, I moved to the Lake Tahoe area and have stayed ever since. I have taught ESL, conversational German and English composition and have also had articles published in local and national magazines and newspapers. I enjoy reading and writing in my spare time.
My education is not limited to higher learning. I have worked in Financial Services. I have held my series 7, 66, 63 Life and Health, Property and Casualty, and NMLS licenses. I have learned the inside tips and would love to teach them. I have been told I am patient and understanding. I have had many personal struggles, however those struggles have turned me into the person that I am today.
I am a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator and licensed Realtor in the state of Florida. I am also the holder of a Bachelors of Science Degree (honors) from the University of the West Indies, with a double major in Accounting & Economics. I have a strong background in credit and account management, having extensive experience as a Manager of various financial institutions. Ever since I was a child, I was always called "Teacher"! This is because I have always enjoyed explaining, clarifying, and demonstrating processes and concepts to all who care to listen. If I am not teaching directly, I am making videos explaining various topics on my YouTube channel. I am passionate about language and communication, all things mortgage and real estate related and love to help others understand the ins and outs of these processes. I love learning new things and then passing on my new knowledge to others. I feel a deep sense of accomplishment when I can help someone master a concept that they have previously struggled to grasp. During my spare time, you will find me working out in the gym or at home, or playing mini golf or a full 18-hole round of golf. I also enjoy a good round of dominoes or completing a difficult Sudoku puzzle.
With over 33 years of experience in mortgage lending and financial services, I bring a wealth of real-world knowledge to every class I teach. For the past eight years, I have served as a licensed real estate instructor and am a certified instructor with the Realtor Teachers Association, helping future realtors gain the knowledge and confidence to excel in a competitive market. In addition, I am an NMLS-approved instructor, guiding professionals through the complexities of mortgage regulations and compliance with practical insights drawn from decades in the industry. My teaching approach blends hands-on experience with a passion for student success. I focus on making complex concepts clear and relatable, ensuring my students leave each class not only prepared to pass their exams but also ready to thrive in their careers. Whether you are pursuing a career in real estate or mortgage lending, my goal is to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to excel in today's ever-changing market.
I am an interdisciplinary educator with an Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.A. from Dartmouth College. My background is primarily in integrated arts learning and museum education and I specialize in visual arts, history and art history, and object-based learning. In all subjects, I take a creative, inquiry-based and learner-centered approach, designing opportunities for each unique individual to meet their learning goals.
I'm not tutoring or buried in my textbooks, you will either find me rock climbing at the Triangle Rock Club, playing Ultimate Frisbee, working on my car, or enjoying the great outdoors (beaches, mountains, forests--you name it, I love it). On rainy weekends I enjoy tinkering with computers and old electronics, playing Pokemon, or picking at my guitar.
I am a recent graduate from a masters program in biostatistics at Columbia University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in biological sciences, with a focus in neurobiology at Northwestern University. In August, I will be starting a doctoral program in biostatistics at NYU. I was a teaching assistant at Columbia University in my department and also have tutored graduate students and undergraduates privately as well. My primary areas of tutoring are math and statistics coursework in addition to math sections on standardized tests such as the GRE and GMAT. I am very passionate about helping students feel more confident and excited about math. In my spare time, I enjoy running, playing piano, and spending time with friends and family.
