I have 9 years of corporate work experience, and on the side, I have always been passionate about teaching- be it while I was studying, or in between when I took a turn in my career. My way of teaching is to break down complex concepts and deliver them in the language the student understands. I make sure I cater to every student's needs in every class. I received both Doctoral Business Administration (DBA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Cleveland State University in Cleveland, OH. While I was pursuing my doctoral degree, I had the opportunity to be a Teaching Assistant (TA). As a TA, I taught Accounting Principal courses for two years. After receiving my DBA, I started working for a Fortune 500 company around the world. Before I graduate, I passed both Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant exams. Now I am both a CPA and CMA. I am a number person and I love to use my accounting knowledge and expertise to help business grow and be successful. Now I am a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a high-tech company, but I still have the passion to teach and share what I have learned and experienced with students. I really hope that my sharing can help my students to better grasp and understand the subjects I would like to teach.
CPA and Cryptocurrency Accountant - I received my Masters of Accounting at Louisiana State University. I love tutoring and mentoring students to become successful CPAs and Financial Professionals.
I bring to you teaching experience that includes 3+ years working with Varsity, and 10 years with 2 major universities (U of Texas at Austin and U of Washington), working with content from Introduction to Financial Accounting, Cost/Managerial, Intermediate, and Advanced Financial Accounting. I love assisting students, particularly CPA candidates (call me crazy but my specialties are preparing for FAR and AUD). Before teaching, I worked for many years as a practitioner in audit and accounting at a variety of companies like KPMG and Amazon. My specialty in the field is forensic accounting. Once I built up enough experience, I started teaching while still working full time in the field. Currently, the majority of my time is teaching. What that means for you: credibility from years of working with clients; responding to a voluminous amount of student questions; and the ability to connect real world to academics. I look forward to meeting you and watching you achieve your goals!
