I am a graduate student in the Masters of Interdisciplinary Data Science Program at Duke University. Previously, I worked at Student Support Services in Puerto Rico as a Data Analyst, and, prior to that position, I worked as a Math and English tutor. Throughout my life, I have tutored college kids from less privileged backgrounds, who carry different types of academic and personal struggles, and I empathized a lot with them. I know the feeling of walking in to a classroom and understanding nothing, the void that forms in your head. My goal is for people to understand and learn. I am a current student at Duke University School of Medicine pursuing my MHS degree in Physician Assistant studies. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Respiratory Care with which I practiced as a Respiratory Therapist with focus in Adult critical Care. I have several certifications and I am a certified clinical simulations instructor. While I tutor a broad range of courses, I am passionate about Algebra, biology, anatomy & physiology, Medical terminology, medicine, ACLS, BLS,NRP, Respiratory board exams prep and pharmacology.

I am a graduate of Duke University (class of 2017), where I received my Bachelor of Arts in History and Religious Studies with a minor in Economics. I am also a graduate of Yale University (class of 2019), where I received my Master of Arts in Religious Studies with a focus on ancient history. Since graduation, I have worked in the computer software space and as a tutor for over 6 years (both in person and virtually). I have tutoring experience with all grade levels, including undergraduates, in subjects ranging from english and essay writing to ACT/SAT test prep. I love working with students of all ages and personalizing my teaching style to create the most positive and productive learning environment.

I am a sophomore studying economics at Duke University. I took AP Calculus AB and AP Statistics my junior and senior years of high school respectively, and got 5's on both tests. I've done well in math classes my whole life and that trend has continued into college. Throughout my math career, reaching out to people for help has been critical to my learning.

I am currently in my fourth year of medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Learning science is my passion, but I also enjoy running, trying new food, and reading classic books. I would love to be part of your journey by helping you love mastering the task at hand. I am a graduate of Dartmouth College where I majored in History. I also received my M.Ed. from Boston College so that I could become a middle school and high school social studies teacher. Currently, I am working concurrently on my JD (at Duke University) and my Ph.D. in Education (at Boston College) and hope to one day combine the two degrees by working in policy. I have tutored or been in the education field my entire life and love it when I am able to help a scholar learn something new. I love to tutor a broad range of subjects but primarily focus on History and English. I particularly love working with scholars on their college essays and finding ways to get their unique voice and experience into writing. Education is crucial and it is important to work with scholars so that they realize the vast amount of knowledge there is in the world. My degrees are in engineering (BS-General Engineering from Harvey Mudd, MS- Mechanical Engineering, and PhD-Bioengineering from Georgia Tech), but I also love art and literature and linguistics. Outside of academics, I am an avid sports fan (and rugby player) and I love to cook, hike with my dog, and travel.

I am eager to help other students in related subjects. In my free time, I like to run, play basketball, spend time at the shore, and cook.

I also have Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Political Science from North Carolina State University. While I can tutor a range of subjects, I am most interested in helping students with graduate level test prep. I have recently studied for and taken the GRE, so I am well-positioned and passionate about helping students succeed with testing and graduate school admissions. Writing is another area of interest for me. I especially enjoy helping students develop their writing skills. I love learning and I want to help students learn to love it too. Learning is valuable for its own sake apart from any practical considerations. However, I do recognize that sometimes students need concrete, immediate, quantifiable results, and so I always keep a student's stated goal at the forefront.
