\(\displaystyle 3^{x+2}\)

\(\displaystyle 3^{x^{2}+x}\)

\(\displaystyle 3^{2x+1}\)

Correct answer:

\(\displaystyle 3^{2x+1}\)

Explanation:

The area of a rectangle is the product of its length and width;

\(\displaystyle A = 3^{x+1} \cdot 3^{x} = 3 ^{x+1+x} = 3 ^{2x+1}\)
