About Me

Empowering students with Dyslexia and ADHD is my passion. With over 20 years in education, I bridge the gap between literacy success and emotional resilience. As a Certified Texas Teacher and Master of Social Work student, I specialize in helping students strengthen foundational skills and find their creative voice through a holistic, trauma-informed approach. I uniquely blend DBT mindfulness with creative literacy, using character creation and narrative storytelling to build both academic skills and self-esteem. By centering sessions around each student’s personal interests, I make reading comprehension, morphology, and sentence structure engaging. I love incorporating interactive games like Mad Libs to refresh grammar and vocabulary in a joyful, non-judgmental way. I guide students through the entire writing process—from brainstorming to polishing—while focusing on sensory details. My goal is to help students find their voice through kindness, compassion, and creative play.
